Weekend Wrap Up

This past weekend was a great weekend. I got to hold a precious newborn baby. My nephew and his girlfriend welcomed a baby girl into this world!! She was born Tuesday March 19. She is a tiny little thing, petite like her momma. I went to meet her on Wednesday and then my kids met her on Saturday. Then again today, Sunday I got to hold and get some love from her!! She is the most precious thing!!!

Isn't she just Adorable!!

Friday

After work I went thrift shopping at Goodwill. you can see my goodies I found here. Then picked up my niece from school and headed home. The kids loved when their cousin is here to play. That night Alexis had a friend over to spend the night. The girls were in bed and asleep by 11. :)

Saturday

It was a rainy and yucky day here in the Carolinas. I thought Spring was here but it's not feeling like it so far. I took the kids over my mom's to meet their new second cousin. They were so sweet holding this itty bitty baby!!

Aww

Later that night we rented the movie 'Wreck It Ralph'. It was a really cute movie.

Sunday

And again... rainy and yucky.... ALL. DAY. LONG. We went to Church and enjoyed a great service for Palm Sunday. I'm looking forward to next week's Easter Service! The kids went to their grandparents for awhile after lunch and I took the time to love on baby Autumn again!!

This weekend as all weekends just go by too fast!!!

What did you do this weekend? I'm linking up with Sami's Shenanigans

Thrifty Goodwill Haul

I pick up my sweet niece Hannah from school two days a week. There is a Goodwill on my way in a nice area. I stopped in there before Christmas and scored a like new big wreath from Michael's for $3.00. It still had the original price tag on it, $24.99. Wow!!

I stopped in there about a month ago and scored some chapter books for my kids for about .99 each. That was a super purchase because they were excited to get new books!!

So to kill some time before getting Hannah from school, I went searching for some cardigans. This Goodwill has some nice resale clothes, like from Loft, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Gap. No luck in the cardi dept but I did find some dresses... in my size!! Score! I also picked up 2 belts and a special gift for a little girl I had in my class last year. It's a ladybug bookbag with her name on it for only $1.99. Had to get it. :)

Navy Blue eyelet strapless from Old Navy $4.00

Eyelet detail

Pink Linen Talbots dress $4.00

2 belts $1 each

Do you ever shop at thrift stores? Do you find anything good?!

What I'm Loving Right Now: Mint

Seems Mint is in!! I'm not a 'green' color person, I don't think it looks good on me. But lately with all the mint popping up, I am really liking it. Mint is light, not dark so I think I can get away with wearing it and liking it! I purchased a navy and mint stripe shirt on clearance from Old Navy//similar//  the other week and love it.

Chevron, enough said!  via

My cowboy boots would go great with this dress!!

I want to own a pair of mint jeans. I love the navy paired with it. via

Love this watch via

Even a little mint to go with the occasional Mojito!

What are you loving right now?

Easy Peasy Easter Craft

Browsing Pinterest the other night, I came across this cute craft for Easter. It looks so simple yet so pretty!

How cute is this? She used the pastic eggs and some skewers. Did you know the plastci eggs had holes in the bottom...I didn't, until now!
So I was in the Dollar Tree this Saturday morning and saw a few items that I could use to recreate this bouquet.

I found this super cute striped box *I love stripes* and these decorated eggs with bows! I grabbed some 'grass' and a craft foam.

I cut my foam to fit my box.

Then stuck those super cute eggs in the foam. Arranged to my liking.

Aren't they perty!

Added some green grass and Viola! Done! 10 minutes max! Easy Peasy. Oh and it only cost me four whole dollars!!!

I love it! It's so cute and sweet!

It's not exactly like the photo inspiration but I like it. I may add a bigger ribbon or a bow in the front, and maybe more eggs, I dunno... we'll see!

Do you decorate for every holiday? Have you put up Easter decor up yet?

Weekend Wrap Up

This weekend was low key and nice. Love weekends like that!

Friday

The kids were out of school for a work day so I took them to work with me. Luckily I work at a place where I can, a preschool! They entertained the little kids and they all were in awe of 'big' kids in the room with them! It was fun and I was glad they, my kids, behaved!

We went to eat that night to Big Bob Gibson's BBQ.  Yummy bbq and kids eat free all day on Fridays!

Mr C and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich that came with fries. Sandwich was good but the fries, which are usually good, had too much salt on them. Have you noticed a lot of places salting their fries Way To Much.  Alexis ordered chicken fingers and Nathan ordered grilled cheese.
Afterwards, Mr C treated us to ice cream! Yum!

strawberry sundae from Burger King

Saturday

We woke up to it snowing!! Pretty big flakes coming down. Of course it didn't stick, not cold enough but it was pretty!
Alexis playing in the flakes!

We went to see my mom and came home to relax. Nathan had woke up the night before burning up with a fever. He felt fine that afternoon and then it came back and he didn't feel well. He laid down and took a nap. Since then it's been on and off. Crazy. I don't like seeing my baby not feel well.

So we had KFC chicken and just relaxed that night watching American's Funniest Videos. Love that show!

Sunday we all slept in. Nathan's fever came back so we didn't go to church. His fever went away around 1/2:00 and they went to their Grammie's house for a bit. While they we gone, I finally got to watch the last Twilight Saga movie, Breaking Dawn 2.

via
I love all the movies but I think this was the best one!! I love Edward and Belle. I was Team Edward the whole time. I also did read the whole saga books. Books of course were better but it was nice to see it in a movie!!

Kids came home and got ready for bed, school night.
Then Monday morning Nathan's weekend friend the Fever came back. Ugh. Found someone to cover me at work and took a sick day. I pray that all day rest today will get rid of this fever for good!!!

Linking up....
